FORTY YEARS OF BONDING:
THE CLINICAL JOURNEY AND THE CONNECTIONS THAT MADE IT POSSIBLE

LECTURE

Bonding and adhesion have transformed modern dentistry, but is there an easy path to predictable success—for both the tooth and the clinician? The simple answer is no. Like any worthwhile endeavor, adhesive dentistry is a journey, one that requires vision, planning, systems, and a commitment to continual learning.

In this engaging and clinically relevant presentation, Dr. Brian LeSage reflects on more than 40 years of experience preserving tooth structure through adhesive dentistry. He will share the challenges, obstacles, and pivotal moments that shaped his decision to embrace minimally invasive dentistry in the late 1980s, long before it became widely accepted.

Through clinical cases and personal insights, attendees will learn the principles, systems, and decision-making processes that guide the successful use of direct composite restorations and indirect porcelain veneers. Dr. LeSage will demonstrate how both materials, when applied with a sound understanding of smile design, tooth morphology, and adhesive principles, can produce seamless, natural, and virtually undetectable results.

More than a clinical lecture, this presentation is a reflection on the professional journey, mentorship, and generational connections that have helped shape four decades of adhesive dentistry. Attendees will leave with practical pearls, renewed inspiration, and a deeper appreciation for the art and science of conservative esthetic dentistry.
